🧙♂️ TIPS & TRICKS:
How to Market Your App on Google
Sylvain Gauchet's newsletter, Growth Gems, is a fantastic resource filled with actionable insights from industry leaders. I'm a big fan.
In his latest edition, he curates expert advice from Ashley Black specifically for those marketing mobile apps on Google.
Key takeaways:
Budget: Don't expect results with tiny budgets. Aim for at least $500/day on iOS and $200-$300/day on Android.
Creatives: Make different ad creatives for different placements (search, display, YouTube).
Videos: Videos are crucial, especially on iOS (think 60% of inventory vs 30% on Android). Consider In-stream, Bumper (6 seconds), Shorts, and Homepage formats on YouTube.
Bidding: Always set a bid and consider bidding on Firebase events (Android) or SKAN installs (iOS) for better results.
Measurement: Things are changing with iOS privacy updates. Utilize SKAdNetwork data and Google's modeled conversions for measurement.
Google Ads Rep: Having a rep can unlock benefits like advanced reporting and beta features. However, information might be limited
Bonus tips:
Explore hidden features in the Google Ads UI to optimize performance.
Look at "All conv." and "Network (with search partners)" in reporting to understand conversions and ad placements.
Consider 6-second bumper ads (Conversion settings).
Don't rely solely on user-generated content (UGC) for video ads.
Focus creative efforts based on your app type (e.g., fitness apps need strong text assets).

📰 LATEST NEWS DECODED:
BYD Investment in Türkiye
I've been closely following the electric vehicle market in Türkiye for a long time, both for its environmental benefits and as a testament to the future of technology.
It's clear that the world is transitioning to electric vehicles. What makes me happy is that Türkiye is taking significant steps in this transformation.
I must also mention that I've been closely monitoring TOGG and I'm incredibly impressed with its progress. And now, the news of BYD's $1 billion investment in our country has filled me with hope for the future.
Before this investment announcement, many people in Türkiye weren't familiar with BYD, but a little research will reveal that it's a major competitor to Tesla and even surpasses it in many ways.
BYD's choice of Türkiye as a base indicates that Türkiye will become a significant global player in electric vehicle production and exports.
BYD's factory in Türkiye will have the capacity to produce 150,000 electric and hybrid vehicles annually. That's an incredible number. It will not only supply the domestic market but also enable us to export to Europe.
This factory will not only be a production facility but also a research center for sustainable mobility technologies.
The benefits of this investment to Türkiye are numerous:
Employment: The factory will create jobs for approximately 5,000 people.
Technology Transfer: BYD's technologies and know-how will spread to various sectors, to a greater or lesser extent.
Indirect Economic Contribution: Such a large investment will likely stimulate other Chinese brands and may even prompt other developed countries to reconsider their investment strategies.
Environmental Awareness: The widespread production and use of electric vehicles will reduce pollution and contribute to Türkiye's sustainable development goals.
There are several reasons why BYD chose Türkiye:
Strategic Location: Türkiye is a bridge between Europe and Asia. This allows it to easily reach the European market and benefit from Asia's production capacity.
Customs Union: Türkiye's customs union agreement with the EU allows us to export to Europe duty-free.
Skilled Workforce: Türkiye has an experienced workforce in the automotive sector.
Government Support: The government's support for such investments attracts companies like BYD.
I believe the BYD investment marks a new chapter in Türkiye's electric vehicle journey. Thanks to this investment, Türkiye is likely to become a significant center for electric vehicle production.
We often criticize what's happening in our country, but we should also acknowledge successful steps like this.
